Toolkit: Mainstreaming Gender in the Implementation of State Action Plans on Climate Change

The ‘Mainstreaming Gender in the Implementation of State Action Plan on Climate Change’ is a toolkit that aims to appraise policy-makers and administrators in identifying and analyzing socio-economic vulnerabilities of women in the wake of climate change and to addressed these in the sectors of energy security, health, agriculture, industry, urban development and transport. The focus is to both address gender-related vulnerabilities and to utilise gender-related capacities for adaptation and mitigation. Prepared by Alternative Futures for United Nations Development Program (UNDP) and the Australian Agency for Development (AusAID), the toolkit recommends ways to also enhance gender perspective in planning and to operationalise this through programmes and schemes.
