Titled “A New Global Partnership: Eradicate Poverty and Transform Economies Through Sustainable Development”, the new 'beyond-MDGs' report was submitted by the UN high-level panel to UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon in New York on May 30, 2013. Hoping to achieve the 2015 Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) by 2030 through wiser strategies and more specific committments from member-nations, the Report centre-stages equity and sustainability with 12 measurable goals and 54 targets for national governments, local authorities, business people, scientists and academics, donors and philanthropists, civil society groups and responsible citizens.
