More trees, less drudgery

Systematic protection of  village forests through better governed  Van Panchayats is an initiative of  women in village Guna and it's neighboring settlements in Uttarakhand. This has transformed their lives.  They now harvest rainwater and grow firewood and fodder trees to regreen their forest.
