WEDO is a global women’s advocacy organization with a mission to ensure women’s rights across social, economic, environmental and sustainable development principles. Its mandate spans global and national policies and practices. WEDO works in collaboration with government and non-government organisations. WEDO’s core strength lies in high-level advocacy in international arenas and building bridges among a range of stakeholders. WEDO focuses on cross-cutting issues—from climate change and natural resource management, to global governance and finance and UN reform. Its three interlinked goals are depicted by the venn diagram below.
